Reimagining the way we work

Flexible work is our day-to-day reality at Capgemini. Underpinned by our trust-based managerial culture, we aim to empower everyone, in all countries, to deliver exceptional work – contributing to an inclusive and sustainable future for our people, our clients, and society.

“We have a unique opportunity today to reimagine the way we do business, the way we work, and the way we live. We also have an opportunity to track the real fight of our generation: the fight against global warming.”

Aiman Ezzat, Group Chief Executive Officer

Flexible working

We have flexibility when it comes to when and where we get our work done, allowing a better work-life balance. Capgemini employees are empowered to work the way that works for them, and  can work with their managers to determine an arrangement that is suited to their role and personal circumstances.

Our team members are fully supported in hybrid ways of working, from having access to equipment to make working from home safe and comfortable, to being offered tools that help them stay connected with their colleagues.

As part of our Flexible Work program*, we allow our employees to work temporarily from over 25 countries for up to 45 days per year through the Flex Abroad program.

We know work-life balance is the cornerstone of a positive employee experience. Flex Abroad gives team members an opportunity to adjust their working environment according to their personal needs. International and bi-national employees can extend the length of an overseas visit to family or friends by a few extra working days, while any employee who feels the need to occasionally change their working environment can do so, whatever the reason.

* The Capgemini Flexible Work program has been considered and deployed country by country, in compliance with required local legal processes with employee representatives or other local stakeholders.

“With the evolution to today’s hybrid-first work environment, we are shaping together the future we want for Capgemini – more sustainable, more digital, more collaborative, more respectful of personal balance and diversity, and more international in engagements – in order to bring our clients the best combination of innovation, expertise, and proximity.”

Hybrid-first working environment

Connected spaces

We provide state-of-the-art, flexible, and collaborative office spaces and digital tools that encourage innovation, and help our people be as productive as possible, whether they’re in the office or at home.

Skill-based talent deployment

Through a global digital platform, our team members are able to share their career aspirations. Supported by artificial intelligence, they have visibility into the opportunities that best match their skills and goals and are able to apply for these, becoming active players in the choice of their next engagement.

Taking the pulse

We use a confidential employee feedback tool to take the pulse of how our people are feeling, and understand what’s important to them, wherever in the world they’re working.

“Effective leadership in a hybrid environment requires building trust differently with teams and colleagues, empowering team members to take ownership of their ideas and work, and enabling flexibility.”

Anne Lebel, Group Chief HR Officer

Not only are these new ways of working better for our people, they are also better for the environment. By reducing the need for regular travel and the energy it consumes, we are providing a more sustainable way of delivering our projects, contributing to our objective to become a net zero business by 2040.
